Marching DrumStick?!

I thought I read wrongly and my brain is not helping either! Somehow I was feeling weird when I read " marching drum sticks"! 1st though was how come drumstick can march! Then only I realized that we are talking about the drum stick and not those chicken drumstick that can be eat! LOL! Feel so stupid right now!
